Dear DTHF Community Members and Staff,
We are excited to announce the 2024 Desmond Tutu Health Foundation Visual Art Contest – a competition celebrating our 20th anniversary.
This competition aims to showcase the creativity and unique perspectives of our community and staff members under the theme “Seeds of Hope”.
Guidelines and eligibility
The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 18-35 years, and we accept artworks using any medium (e.g., photography, drawing, painting, mixed media etc.) created to portray hope, optimism, and the potential for positive change. Artworks can also depict personal or shared stories of finding hope and moving forward and we encourage you to explore and express this in your own unique way. Artworks should creatively showcase individuals or stories within the community that depict the journey of overcoming adversity, illness, or obstacles, highlight the small, everyday victories and moments of strength that collectively contribute to resilience and create hope. This could also include capturing the support networks and communal efforts that help individuals navigate challenges and build resilience.
