In 2021, DTHF hosted a webinar series on adolescent health research, in partnership with IAVI. The first series ran for six months, with a monthly edition. We covered topics like the HIV & COVID-19 Intersection, Mental Health & Wellbeing, and Gender & Sexually Diverse Populations.
Our second series started with a discussion on Adolescents & Non-Communicable Diseases in June 2022 and took a deep dive into mHealth, Gender Based Violence, Cash Transfers and Peer Support Interventions, among others.
Each webinar features South African and international speakers on a wide selection of topics related to adolescent health. Each edition features two state-of-the-art talks, an interactive panel discussion, and a brief artistic item to highlight local artists and an alternative perspective and expression of the issue under discussion.
In 2023, as part of our goal to build capacity of emerging researchers to conduct research with adolescents, we continued to another webinar series, covering pertinent and innovative topics related to adolescent health research:
WEBINAR 1: Differentiated service delivery for adolescent health
WEBINAR 2: Health Economics: The Price of Adolescent Health Care Services
WEBINAR 3: Implementation Science in Adolescent Health Research
WEBINAR 4: Living Long With HIV
WEBINAR 5: Participatory research methods with adolescents
WEBINAR 6: Digital tools and engagement approaches to promote SRH services
