The Desmond Tutu Health Foundation stands in solidarity with fellow health care workers all over the world who courageously provide medical care and relief from suffering in the catastrophic and devastating situations of war, conflict and peril in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, the Far East and across the globe. We pay tribute to the courageous and committed men and women who, without regard for themselves put the needs of others ahead of their own safety and wellbeing. In line with the teachings of our beloved patron,  the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu- every human life is of inestimable value and we are appalled when innocent civilians, among them women and children are used as weapons of war.
